Composite Division (formerly SED Research Inc). focuses on the fabrication and use of advanced composites for satcom and other industries.

Recently, AT has developed carbon fiber composite antennas for the next wave of high bandwidth internet-over-satellite. To continue the endeavor into cutting edge manufacturing technologies, we are looking for individuals who share our passion for new and innovative ideas.

Calian Composites is looking for an energetic team-player to join our fast-paced environment as an **Industrial Painter** You will have the ability to use a variety of painting materials to bring our projects to life. You will use your strong attention to detail to match colors, prepare fabricated parts for painting and examine parts to ensure quality. As an Industrial Painter you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of products and coatings, adding the final touches on the product.

**Responsibilities**
- You will use materials such as paint, lacquer, resin, and other products to paint surfaces of fabricated parts and assemblies
- You will ensure that all parts are well prepared and ready for painting by sanding and removing dirt, grease and old paint
- You will carry out a proper pre paint inspections to see if certain parts need to be replaced, protected, or sanded to ensure that painting is properly done
- You will ensure that spray guns and other tools are properly maintained, cleaned and stored
- You will be responsible for administering the mix of colors and ensuring that they match with original color
- You will ensure that certain portions of the fabrications are masked with tape and paper to ensure that each part is painted correctly when using multiple colors.
- You will polish parts by wet-sanding and buffing when the paint is dried when required
- You will maintain the paint booth by replacing filters and fan belts when necessary and keeping the booth clean and in good working order

**Qualifications**
- 2-4 years of experience of painting in an industrial environment or autobody shop.
- Must have demonstrated experience with a variety of paint products including high gloss finish parts.
