Minas Energy, a member of the Scotia Investments Family of Companies, located in Bedford, NS, is seeking an **Energy Manager** to join our high-performing team. **Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Energy Manager will be responsible to**:

- Monitor the regulatory environment in which Minas Energy operates to identify and track potential business opportunities and threats to the organization
- Work with stakeholders across the Scotia Investments Family of Companies to identify and execute energy related initiatives including but not limited to energy efficiency, electrical generation, and carbon displacement
- Provide governance and oversight to regulatory activities within Minas Energy including environmental reporting and the Dam Safety Management Program
- Oversee and execute the annual capital program for Minas Energy
- Participate in the development and execution of the strategic plan for Minas Energy
- Act as a technical resource to the Scotia Investments Family of Companies in relation to electrical regulation and energy efficiency initiatives in the jurisdictions the companies operate in
- Manage the relationship between Minas Energy and external regulators and stakeholders to support the goals and objectives of Minas Energy
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Accounting, or Business
- Four to eight years’ experience working in energy management or energy development
- Experience leading multi-discipline capital projects
- A project management designation such as PMP would be considered an asset
- A proven problem solver who can bring innovative solutions to complex technical projects
- Strong interpersonal skills including communication, collaboration, and teamwork
