Formwork Supervisor

**Summary**
Lancor Concrete Contractors Ltd. Is a formwork contractor who specializes in commercial and industrial projects all throughout Atlantic Canada. We are currently looking for a foreman/site supervisor to join our team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage a team of carpenters, labourers and operators to construct concrete structures
- Assign task and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources
- Motivate the team to maintain a high level of productivity and quality workmanship
- Oversee the installation of formwork systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to resolve any technical issues related to formwork design and installation
- Conduct regular safety meetings (daily hazard assessments, toolbox meetings) and inspections to identify and control potential hazards
- Take immediate action to address any safety concerns or violations, ensuring the well-being of all workers
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, schedule and budget
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure material, tools and equipment needed for the job
- Attend job site coordination meetings
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in formwork construction with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisor or leadership role would be considered an asset
- In-depth knowledge of formwork systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and standards related to the construction industry
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills - ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Bilingualism would be considered and asset
- Computer literate
- Able to work some overtime as required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Ability to work anywhere within Atlantic Canada
Job Duties:
- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety requirements
- Create and enforce employee schedules and construction timelines
