Plumber/pipefitter

Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
- Assemble fittings and valves for installation
- Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed
- Use calipers and hand tools to measure, cut, bend, thread, weld, solder, or braze pipes
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems as needed

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Plumber/Pipefitter or relevant apprenticeship
- Proficient in using calipers and hand tools for pipefitting work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques for pipe joining
- Ability to build, maintain, rig, fabricate, weld according to specifications
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement solutions
