BIOVECTRA has an opening for a Process Development Scientist, Analytical Services.

This is a permanent full-time position located in Dartmouth, NS.

Working as part of a dynamic team to provide timely and accurate analytical support for process development projects.
Developing modern bioanalytical methodologies for the analyses of biologics using techniques such as CE-SDS, UV-VIS, cIEF, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, qPCR, MS, Western blot and HPLC.
Carrying out literature searches as appropriate to evaluate modern analytical methods and patents.
Collaborating with fellow scientists, technicians, and students in the development of analytical methods. Occasionally supervising and training others in the execution of those methods.
Writing research and development test methods, procedures, protocols, and analytical development reports.
Transferring technology to technical staff, in both the Process Development and Quality groups.
Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities.
Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's needs.

B.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or related fields.
MSc or PhD considered an asset.
Previous experience using quality by design (QbD) and design of experiments (DoE) methodologies to measure critical quality attributes, understand design spaces and identify critical process parameters is considered an asset.
Technical proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and techniques for the analysis of pDNA and mRNA is considered an asset.
Experience with analytical chromatography software (empower, Mass lynx, UNIFI, etc) is considered an asset.
