Ironworker

**Full Job Description**

Island Installation Inc. are currently looking to hire Ironworkers, with some experience, to support us on commercial and industrial projects. Work conditions are outside and you must be able to work on heights. Some heavy lifting involved.

You will be an integral part of the Island Field Team working on multiple active construction projects. This is a full-time position, reporting to Island Project Foremen on site. We are looking for workers that currently reside in the area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Erect steel for structural steel buildings and structural steel
- Install of Misc. Metals
- Bolt up and impacting
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
- Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
- Rigging and setting of building modules
- Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment

**Requirements**:

- Would be an asset to be a registered apprentice in Ironworker and/or willing to register
- Fall Protection and Elevated Work Platform are a requirement
- All Field Employees should have Basic Ironworker Tools
- Valid drivers license
- Eager to work
- Home in the Evenings
- Benefits after the hourly threshold is met

**Salary**: $22.00-$38.00 per hour
