Apprentice Machinist

On the Job training will be provided.
Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required.
Business hours are Tuesday - Friday 6:00am to 4:30pm (4 day work week)

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate manual machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment

**Requirements**:

- Some experience as a Machinist or similar role
- blueprint reading experience would be an asset
- Familiarity with lathe operations and other machining techniques preferred
- Some Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
- Forklift certification is a plus

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
