**Carpenter/Cabinet Installer**

We are a fast growing kitchen and vanity manufacturing company in the Ottawa area. We design/build and specialize in high quality custom cabinetry and take pride in our workmanship and shop environment.

We are seeking a self-motivated experienced cabinetry maker, full time. If you have a dynamic attitude, have good listening skills, able to problem solve and multitask, competent in communication with your coworkers and customers and are fully experienced in the tools of the trade, then we would love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**
- Complete production/installations for quality of product and installation
- Liaise with customers in a professional manner
- Complete service requests when required
- Participate in compulsory training as deemed necessary for the role.
- Clean and Maintain Work Areas, Including Machinery and Tools.
- Complete all paperwork correctly and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Experience**
- 2 year experience is required.
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, cut lists and specifications of articles to be made.
- In-depth knowledge of cabinetry installation, countertops, woodworking, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to review custom details for installation purposes.
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a solid team.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills and ability to manage difficult customer interactions with tact.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Proven problem-solving ability and creative approach to solving issues on site.
- Good PC skills with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Must be flexible with the ability to work outside regular hours when required.
- Complete knowledge and understanding of installation guidelines, codes, and expectations.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract.
- CSA steel toed construction grade safety shoes in production area.
- Interaction with some heavy machinery, moving equipment and movement of chemicals within the finishing department.
- Must be able to work assigned shift schedule rotation.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 75-100 lbs
- Grade 12 education
