**Fairway Market -** is a locally owned and operated grocery chain on Vancouver Island. Fairway Market’s has 10 grocery stores and has been serving Vancouver Island for over 58 years.
**Position Summary - **Fairway Market is looking for someone who is pro active with innovative new ideas to develop a successful location for the company.
**Location: McKenzie**
**Deli Manager
- **This person must be a team player and support the deli team to operate a successful department.
- Must be able to perform the various duties such as cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters.
- Manage product storage, maintenance and rotation activities to avoid any damages or spoilage's.
- Preparation of inventory and sales budgets.
- Support scheduling and assign works for associates on daily basis.
- Maintain training of staff on company policies and sales guidelines.
- Respond to queries and complaints from both customer and employee.
- Ensure employees follow company policies and store rules.
- Coordinate with employees to operate the Deli store to achieve sales goals.
- Develop sales promotion programs to attract more customers.
- Ensure that products are properly labeled with prices and dates.
- Monitor and maintain stock inventory levels to avoid over and under stock problems.
- Interact politely with clients while solving problems related to sales, dissatisfied service and issues regarding store operation.
- Operate all food preparation machines and equipment.
- Receive, unload and stock the food items.
- Ensure that facility is maintained neat, clean and safe.
- Strong work ethics - go getter - get things done.
- Very organized.
- Quick thinker.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- 1 year management experience in a deli or restaurant kitchen environment..
**Looking for punctual, honest, hardworking person who wants to join a fantastic **team.**
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
