**Position**
The Township of The Archipelago is seeking a seasonal Wharf Attendant. Reporting to the Environmental Services Coordinator, the Wharf Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day requirements for orderly administration, maintenance, and operations of the Pointe au Baril Wharf. In a friendly and courteous manner, the Attendant acts as a host to customers coming to the wharf and provides information when requested.

**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Post-secondary diploma preferred.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation and will be required to work on weekdays and weekends through the summer.
- Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and Pleasure Craft Operating Licence considered an asset.

**Position Description**
- Inspection of the facility per shift, for refuse, obstacles, maintenance concerns etc. Take appropriate action to keep site clean and safe.
- Safely operate the wharf pump-out station for transient vessels.
- Monitor marine channels to assist arriving transient boaters where necessary.
- Monitor Contractor Dock and collect fees.
- Maintain landscape and flowers (watering, mowing, weeding, etc.).
- Secure all items at the end of the day (e.g. picnic tables, umbrellas, carts), and lock the Wharf building.
- Assist customers with luggage where necessary.
- Attendant required to attend The Township of The Archipelago training and Orientation Sessions. Use this training to identify, separate and properly dispose of any potentially hazardous or prohibited waste that is dropped off at the station.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and files, unless, the release of specific information is authorized by the Supervisor.
- Conduct all other relevant duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Operate in a safe manner and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and township safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Hourly Rate**
Ranges from $21.43 to $25.07
