**Kanata South Kumon Centre is in need of a Classroom Assistant.**

**For over 60 years, the Kumon Method has been effective in helping millions of students around the world foster their love of learning. The program empowers students to develop independent learning skills and advance above and beyond grade level through an individualized worksheet lesson plan based around their abilities, needs, and goals.**

**Our Classroom Assistants all share a common goal of supporting our students to become successful, independent life-long learners.**

**What you will do**:

- Assist in preparing students' work
- Support students during class hours
- Grade students' work during class hours
- Maintain a welcoming and clean environment for students and their families:

- sanitize work areas
- keep supplies and materials organized
- Track inventory and ensure supplies are stocked
- Data entry
- Identify and set aside files that require special attention from the Instructor

**Qualifications**:

- Be organized, productive and efficient
- Be available to work afternoons/evenings (between 3:10-7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)
- Be able to prioritize multiple projects and tasks at once
- Be detail-oriented and precise
- Be dedicated, punctual and reliable
- Be mature and looking for a long-term commitment
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Google, etc.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kanata, ON K2L 1T9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
