**Swim Trainer**
**Hey, Coach**
The City of Edmonton is looking for motivated, outgoing, positive leaders with an aptitude for fitness and swimming skill development. This position is responsible for developing and delivering a challenging workout through interval training and stroke improvement. Participants of this program have a range of swimming abilities and fitness goals.
**What will you do?**
- Create challenging workouts that meet the needs of all skill and fitness levels
- Engage and motivate swimmers to help them achieve their goals
- Provide meaningful feedback on stroke technique
- Maintain a welcoming and inviting presence within the group
- Ensure all participants have a positive experience regardless of their fitness or swimming level
**Qualifications**:
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Swimming Fundamentals Coach (Level 1) Trained Status
- Current Government of Alberta workplace approved first aid certification is a requirement of the position
**Assets**:
- Experience coaching adults / athletes with a range of abilities
- Triathlon or competitive swimming experience
**Skills required for success**:
- Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques employed in swim coaching
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skill set
**Conditions of Employment**:
- Hire is dependent on a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton

**Work Environment**:

**Hours of Work**: Part-time with up to 6/hours per week
**Salary**: $33.00 - $40.00 (Hourly)
