Join Our Team as a Truck Driver for Automotive Transportation
Position Overview: Looking for an exciting career in the automotive transportation industry? We're hiring a skilled Truck Driver to deliver vehicles across Saskatchewan As a Truck Driver specializing in Autobody Transport, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting cars between Saskatoon and Estevan and other places in Saskatchewan at times. Your work will ensure vehicles arrive at their destinations on time and in perfect condition. This is an essential role in our logistics operation, requiring the use of specialized car carrier trucks, hydraulic loading systems, and a keen eye for safety and detail.
Key Responsibilities: - Vehicle Transport: Safely drive up to 900 km back and forth, 4-5 days a week between Saskatoon and Estevan with additional locations in Saskatchewan at times.
- Loading & Unloading: Use professional techniques to secure vehicles onto car carriers, ensuring safe transport.
- Equipment Operation: Handle specialized car carrier trucks, including flatbeds and multi-car transporters, and operate hydraulic systems.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and laws, ensuring proper weight limits and secure load requirements.
- Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking for mechanical issues and securing vehicles properly.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery times by planning efficient routes, taking into account traffic, road conditions, and regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition.
- Communication: Keep in touch with dispatch and clients to provide timely updates and ensure smooth deliveries.
- Customer Service: Offer excellent service, addressing customer inquiries about vehicle deliveries.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, ensuring vehicles are in top condition.
Qualifications & License: - Class 1/1F/A License (Semi-Trailer Trucks) - Mandatory
- Air Brake Endorsement - Preferred
- 3-5 years of Truck Driving Experience - Preferred
- Adult Basic Education with Communication Skills
- Knowledge of Traffic and Highway Rules - Mandatory
