The main workplace of the position to be filled is on the South Shore of Montreal, in Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington. Advantageously located about 30 minutes from the Champlain Bridge, near the crossroads of highways 15 south, 10 and 30.

Under the responsibility of the Production Supervisor, the Electrical Technician is responsible for the proper functioning and continuous improvement of electrical installations and programmable controllers. The Electrical Technician participates in installing and adjusting new production equipment.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of programmable controllers and of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, machine vision, and electronic detection systems
- Locate breakages, identify causes, make necessary repairs, and test repaired equipment or components to ensure proper performance
- Complete work orders and daily follow-up reports
- Request parts required to complete identified tasks.
- Participate in developing and maintaining the preventive maintenance program
- Participate in the optimization of automated processes and equipment to maximize their efficiency and reliability
- Calibrate control instruments
- Work closely with the various areas of production
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and HACCP regulations and procedures
- Report any hazardous situation or potential contamination to the immediate supervisor

**Knowledge and skills sought**:

- College diploma in electrical engineering, electrodynamics, or instrumentation and control
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in the maintenance, repair, and programming of programmable controllers, ideally in the F&B industry
- Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Valid Class C Electrical Licence (an asset)
- Ability to work in narrow and elevated places
- Proficiency with technical terms in English and ability to communicate with suppliers in English
- Knowledge of HACCP standards (an asset)
- Ability to work under pressure
