Toronto, Canada Crescent Moon Transport Inc. Full time

Crescent Moon Transport is seeking self-motivated transport truck drivers to transport goods and materials on a Brampton/Ottawa/Brampton run.
- Minimum 1 year Canadian driving experience
- Pay is based on a daily rate of $265 plus HST total for annual pay of $77,857($265 + $34.45=$299.45).
- There may be some weekend driving as an exception.
- Must have clean COVR and driving records
- Start and end in GTA will be Brampton

Responsibilities include:

- Operating and driving long haul trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances
- Planning and executing trip logistics and obtaining required documentation to transport goods
- Performing pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals and brakes
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of goods
- Ensuring cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and following safety procedures for transporting goods
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Saving all invoices, bills and receipts and handing them in to the Director of Operations at the end of each day
- Administering bills of lading and manually or electronically maintaining log books
- Communicating with the Director of Operations, dispatcher, other drivers and customers (as required) using communication devices
- May perform emergency roadside repairs

Where you’ll be working

This position will be based out of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and trips will originate from and conclude in the GTA. A daily run consists of a go/back trip. Typical work days are Monday through Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend trips.

You’ll need to have:

- A secondary school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Ontario CDL driver’s license (Class AZ)
- Minimum of 1 year Canadian work experience (as a truck driver)
- A clean driving record
- A clean CVOR driver abstract
- Ability to work Monday through Friday
- A mobile (cell phone) with nationwide calling
- A current resume or CV
- A copy of your driver’s license
- A copy of your driving record (pulled within the last 30 days)
- A copy of the CVOR driver abstract (pulled within the last 30 days)
- To undergo and pass a driving test
- A valid SIN (Social Insurance Number)
- Proof validating the ability to work in Canada (e.g. passport, permanent resident card)
- A mobile number that will be used for communications
- Canada or Ontario business name and number, including articles of incorporation
- A GST/HST number

Pay: $77,857.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- Ontario AZ Driver's License: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario AZ Driver's License (required)
- GST/HST number registered under your Canadian business (preferred)
