The Quality Control Manager will lead a team of Quality Control professionals and provide functional expertise, as well as implement and support the quality systems for our manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, and working in conjunction with our corporate Quality team, you will provide leadership for the plant and the senior management team in regard to food safety and environmental compliance, product conformity, technical troubleshooting, documentation, audits, and employee training.

Key Technical Responsibilities for the Quality Leader will include but are not limited to:

- Assuring the food safety and the conformity of ingredients, packaging, and the finished goods;
- Providing Quality leadership and support to cross-functional teams during quality events;
- Develops, tracks and delivers on all quality-related KPIs and activities;
- Leads the site through internal and external audits (customer and governmental) and ensures all related actions are implemented;
- Liaises with relevant environmental authorities as required;
- Implements, audits and develops site documentation related to corporate quality directives;
- Ensures quality systems are up to date and standardized when changes arise (validation, new equipment, processes, products or improvements);

As a Quality Leader, you have a continuous improvement mind-set, and are motivated to identify and address gaps, and aren’t afraid to lead by example. You have demonstrated experience developing a Quality culture within the workplace, and fostering team members’ sense of ownership of that culture.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor in Food & Science Technology or equivalent;
- Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in quality control or food production experience;
- Strong knowledge of the SQF code, HACCP programs, GMPs, and food safety rules and regulations;
- Communication and mobilization skills required;
- High level of autonomy, leadership, initiative and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work with several plants at once;
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office;
