Ross Video powers video production for billions of global viewers daily with the industry’s widest range of smart production solutions. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources team as an HR Business Partner, aligned with our R&D organization.

The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Ross Video managers and staff, with a particular focus on the R&D organization. The role is critical in executing our talent initiatives, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

**What the job is all about**:

- Understand business goals and work to ensure the effective execution of HR programs, processes, policies, communications, and strategic initiatives to meet business objectives
- Take a hands-on approach to partnering as trusted advisor to client group leaders and employees in coaching, mentoring and educating on their obligations to ensure all company standards and practices are upheld to enable a safe, healthy and compliant work environment
- Provide HR insights to help create & drive talent development strategic priorities in assigned client groups, including workforce planning and talent acquisition, manager and employee development, succession planning, and role of the leader
- Coach leaders to foster increased employee engagement, inclusion and organization performance

**Who you are**:

- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience in an HR team
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive HR Business Partner or HR Advisor experience, preferably in a high-tech environment; experience partnering with R&D teams highly desired
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding in the management of all aspects of HR functions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management
- Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy; ability to build trusted relationships
- Experience coaching and mentoring managers and employees
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Organized and very detail orientated but also able to see the big picture
- Strong-working knowledge of MS-Office package and general computer software; familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce an asset

Ross Video enjoys a hybrid work environment. This position requires on-site presence in our Ottawa office, with working from home possible the rest of the time. Occasional travel to visit remote client group locations may be required.
