Department/Unit/Program Description
The Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Laboratory Departments at Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) are committed to the provision of quality care that ensures delivery of patient centered, clinically relevant, accurate and timely diagnostic services.

DI services include X-ray, CT, MRI, US, Mammography (including Ontario Breast Screening OBSP), Echocardiography and non-invasive IR procedures.

Position Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging department is currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Echocardiographer to join their team with potential to also work in ultrasound (provided qualified).

Effective Date: As soon as possible

Essential Qualifications
- Must be a member of CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
- Current C.P.R. Certification
- Must be able to work independently (scanning test as part of interview process)
- Position involves heavy lifting and transporting of patients
- Demonstrated high level of communication, organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications
- Computer experience in a Windows environment
- Sonography qualifications
- Sonography experience

Hours of Work
Must be available primarily for day shift Monday through Friday, and rotating weekends as required. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements, and as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
