Position Overview:
The Aftermarket Product Consultant is a critical part of the Finning Aftermarket team and instrumental in driving growth in market share for Caterpillar in Construction Industries and overall Cat parts growth within a line or lines of product.

In addition to supporting regional Product Support Sales Representatives in achieving sales and profitability goals, the Aftermarket Product Consultant will work closely with key verticals in Finning and Caterpillar. This role will also act as a trusted resource for customers to establish the proper disposal strategies for their assets and design business solutions.

**Job Description**:

- Assist Product Support Sales Representatives as a trusted partner on the product line.
- Execute product marketing plans and new product introductions.
- Build and design tiered proposal options that demonstrate the breadth of Finning’s offerings.
- Work closely in partnership with product and technical teams to ensure customer feedback and insights from the regions and the sales force are fed back into product development.
- Collaborate with the service, operations and the control tower to optimize the coordination of the service offerings.
- Work with the business intelligence team in the generation and prospecting of opportunities across the territory.
- Participate in business development/sales calls to support sales teams with solutions under scope.
- Plan and coordinate product training as required.

Education & Experience:

- Post-secondary in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- Knowledge of Heavy Equipment, Construction, Mining or Power Systems is an asset.
- Journeyperson HET, technical and/or parts experience is an asset.
- 2 years of technical sales experience - related industries are considered an asset.
- Skilled in strategic thinking, business & technical planning.
- Team player, ability to build relationships.
- Able to accept a strong level of personal responsibility for success in an environment of shared resources.
- Able to influence; highly collaborative with the ability to positively influence stakeholders at all levels. Able to positively influence with and without authority.
- High-level energy, drive and personal motivation; results-oriented with a bias for action.
