Gbq+ Men's Health Coordinator

**Primary Purpose**
The mission of Essie’s Place is to work to improve the Quality of Life and socioeconomic conditions of the Shuswap’s LGBTIQ2SA+ community. We are seeking an Online Health Coordinator who is passionate about our mission.
We're seeking someone who is passionate about the GBQ+ online scene, and wants to help improve the lives of those who use it.
The Online Men's Health Coordinator is responsible for providing men with advice and information on a variety of health topics. This role requires a deep understanding of men's health, including topics such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, sexual health, mental health, and more. The Online Men's Health Coordinator must be able to provide clear, concise, and accurate information that is tailored to each individual's unique needs. The Online Men's Health Coordinator must also be able to listen and respond to the individual's concerns and questions in a professional and compassionate manner.
Travel is required, and reimbursed. We support the entire Shuswap area, and while we strive to be a 100% digital company, in person sessions and services will be required.
**Key Accountabilities**
- **Answering questions and providing advice in a timely and accurate manner**:
- **Researching and staying up-to-date on the latest trends in men's health**:
- **Creating and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and other experts in the field**:
- **Developing and maintaining an online presence, including through social media**:
- **Providing support and resources to individuals in need of assistance**:
- **Working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients**:
- **Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical standards at all times**:
- **Performing other duties as assigned**:
- **Ability to communicate effectively, with clients and their families, educational personnel, social workers and resource workers, service providers, colleagues, physicians, and other health care staff, both one-on-one and in group settings**:
- **Abide by CPATH and WPATH Standards of Care, and base decisions on the best available science and expert professional consensus**:
- **Complete monthly and annual program reports**:
- **Develop and maintain working knowledge and relationships with natural partners and supports in the communities**:
- **Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills**:
- **Strong collaboration skills**:
- **The ability to work independently as well as part of a team**:
- **Access to reliable internet/data**:
- **Strong familiarity with the GBQ+ online dating scene**:
- **Strong knowledge of online and mobile apps**
- *All employees of Essie’s Place are expected to follow departmental health and safety policy, procedures and work practices at all times. **Required Qualifications**
- **Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.**:
- **Experience: At least two years of experience working in public health or health promotion with a focus on men's health. Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation is preferred.**:
- **Have, or are willing to complete the qualified assessor training.**:
- **Valid B.C. Driver’s Licence and acceptable driver's abstract. Use of a personal vehicle is required**:
