**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Senior Drafter; on a day-to-today basis, the **Draftsperson** assists the drafting department in meeting production goals. The Draftsperson will be responsible but not limited to the following:
**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Works within deadlines, goals, and ensures production goals/quotas are met.
- Alter working drawings to produce job specific drawings for all types of houses i.e. single-family homes, duplexes, and townhomes including grading.
- Maintains changes to drawings as required by change orders.
- Operate computer-assisted design (ArchiCAD) and draft workstations, or equivalent.
- Ensures adherence to schedules for project completion and distribution.
- Works with other drafting team members to refine standards, processes, and checklists.
- Check and verify working drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
- Assist the Senior Drafter as needed in collaboration with the Product Development team to ensure production ready drawings and provides feedback when there are errors or problems with designs or master plans.
- Liaise with other departments (Sales, Interior Design, Estimating and Construction) to ensure proper needs are met for job files.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions as required.
- Ability to train and assist junior drafter and able to assist the Senior Drafter as needed.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Diploma in **Architectural Technology**
- At least **3-5 years’ **Canadian residential drafting experience required.
- Excellent **working knowledge** of the **Alberta Building Code**
- Extensive experience with drafting methods and tools.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
