The Desjardins Capital Markets Montreal office is looking for an institutional sales associate in the money market and financing team, which reports to the Fixed Income Group - a leader in Canada's bond market.

As an associate, you contribute to bringing to life various activities, mandates and projects related to financial and capital markets. You help serve, solicit and develop and maintain business relationships with institutional clients. You participate in the sale of money market products in accordance with current strategies and practices.

You develop and maintain business relationships with our institutional clients to ensure they're getting the most of their products and services and are fully satisfied with them. You drive results by actively helping your unit meet its sales and business development objectives.

You serve as a money market specialist and resource person for clients and practitioners. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into large-scale agreements with clients. You have leeway and very frequent opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential, as are good discipline, analytical and summarizing skills.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities- Solicit and develop and maintain personalized business relationships with clients to promote products and services- Identify and analyze client needs; develop personalized solutions; prepare integrated service offers that balance client satisfaction, profitability and risk; and negotiate terms- Help achieve team objectives while ensuring compliance with risk management and investment policies- Monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities- Monitor and analyze economic data and market conditions- Maintain, optimize and develop money market performance monitoring analysis tools- Play an active role in public relations activities and maintain a presence in the business community- Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships among the various members of the Fixed Income Group.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, financial mathematics or computer science- A minimum of six years of relevant experience- Master's degree in a finance-related discipline (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- Professional designation CFA, CPA, FRM (an asset)- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required.

Specific knowledge- Solid understanding of fixed income markets and instruments- In-depth knowledge of Excel- Advanced knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
