Grande Prairie, Canada Approved Safety Solutions Inc Full time

Approved Safety Solutions Inc is looking for BC licensed Primary Care Paramedics to join our team supporting a long-term construction project in Dawson Creek Area, B.C., in full-time roles. PCPs are supported by a team of on-call emergency medicine physicians. Camp-based accommodations are provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.
- Sign in Sign out Sheet for people coming in and out of site and sustain active head count, Orientations if required by client
- The PCP approved scope of practice will primarily align with their provincial licensing / governing body, including delegated medical acts approved by the 24/7 Approved Safety Solutions Inc, Medical Director, individual competence and training in selected skills, urgency of patient condition, and on-site medical resources.

WORK CONDITIONS

The duties of a PCP can be physically demanding and may require prolonged kneeling, working in stooped positions, and rolling patients. Depending on the working conditions these physical demands can become rigorous. Personnel must be physically and mentally capable of safely and effectively performing the required duties of a PCP.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

- **Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course (with certification from a nationally recognized provider) (required)**:

- **Valid Class 5 Drivers’ License with clean driver’s abstract (required)**:

- **Be able to pass a Pre Access Drug Test**

QUALIFICATIONS
- Industrial experience will be considered an asset but not essential
- Experience working with First Nations strongly preferred.
- Training and/or experience in providing culturally sensitive care an asset.
- Working knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as WhatsApp and VSee.
- Willingness to learn programs such as electronic medical record systems as introduced by Approved Safety Solutions Inc or its’ clients. Orientation and training will be provided for any programs that PCP may have less familiarity.

LOCATION & SHIFTS
- 12-hour shifts
- A regular rotation days and nights for about one month scope

**BENEFITS**:

- Eligible for reimbursement of fees for Continuing Professional Development expenses after twelve months of full-time employment
- Travel allowance case by case each job
