**Summary**

The Sanitation Technician shall be responsible for both general cleaning of the facility and office area, as well as performing specialized equipment and room cleaning procedures according to SOP requirements. The Sanitation Technician will work with production and quality assurance departments to ensure the safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals while promoting GDP.

**Job Duties**:
⦁ Responsible for following Myzel Organics' Sanitation SOPs during the propagation, processing and changeover stages of production to ensure facility cleanliness and room qualification standards are met;
⦁ Disassemble and assemble all production equipment as necessary to perform required cleaning and sanitation procedures;
⦁ Safely use, transport and store all cleaning chemicals and tools while ensuring adequate PPE is utilized in accordance with SOPs

⦁ Clean bathrooms, lunchrooms and offices by performing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping and garbage collection.

⦁ Maintain sanitation supplies by submitting purchase requests;
⦁ Works closely with QA/QC departments during pre-operational inspection, recleaning of equipment or internal audits.

⦁ Works in conjunction with Fungal Technicians during room sanitation to encourage detailed and timely change overs to support production;
⦁ Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness when completing tasks and filling out paperwork in order to improve GDP and promote quality and production;
⦁Follows organic cleaning requirements and communicates all areas of concern to their manager;
⦁ Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and facility;
⦁ Operate Safety Sensitive Equipment following lock out/ tag out procedures as trained and/or licenced;
⦁ Other job duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

⦁ 2+ years previous sanitation experience in an industrial environment.

⦁ High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.

⦁ Exhibit initiative, responsibility and leadership.

⦁ Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

⦁ Able to work well under pressure.

⦁ Strong attention to detail.

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
