**Pattison Media’s, rdnewsNOW** in Red Deer, AB, is looking for a permanent, full-time newsperson, with a primary focus on covering breaking news and beat reporting for online and radio, and to read radio newscasts on BIG 105 and 106.7 REWIND Radio.

The person we’re looking for is a great storyteller and writer with a strong on-air presence, digital-first mindset, and a winning attitude.

**Other qualifications and duties include**:

- Developing story ideas, writing, shooting, and editing news for online publishing and on-air broadcast.
- Strong interviewing skills, writing skills, and a team player.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian Press-style print and online journalism.
- Using editorial judgement to help determine content of newscasts.
- Meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adept at all delivery platforms, including engagement on the web and social media.
- Performing other tasks as required.
- Broadcast Journalism degree or diploma.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
