**FACULTY OVERVIEW**:
Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is the fourth largest university in the province of British Columbia and serves communities in a unique regional environment south of the stɑl̓əw̓/stó:lō/Fraser River in the lands known today as British Columbia. The name ‘Kwantlen’ comes from the Kwantlen First Nation in whose traditional territory the University is located. The Fine Arts Department at KPU offers certificate, diploma, and Bachelor programs with a strong curriculum focusing on the ideas and techniques of producing contemporary art within a diverse and supportive liberal arts environment. This dynamic program focuses on the integration of studio work with theory and research. Our graduates are prepared with the necessary skills to pursue advanced Fine Arts studies, enter related fields, or pursue a contemporary professional practice.

- FINA 1167 - Visual Language: Making and Meaning
- FINA 2300/2400 - Advanced Drawing I and II
- FINA 2310/2410 - Advanced Painting Studio I and II

The ability to teach introductory to advanced painting, drawing, and colour theory courses will be considered an asset. Courses may be scheduled in three terms during the contract year, at the Surrey campus.

**SALARY INFORMATION**:
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
