KTR specializes in the development of new, unique powertrain technologies including advanced gear and clutch designs and non-traditional transmission driveline systems. The company has partners and clients in both the commercial and military sectors.

**Position Summary**:
As an IT Specialist at Ker-Train, you will play a crucial role in managing and securing our Windows-based network environment. You will be responsible for maintaining NIST 800-171 controls, ensuring our IT systems are secure, compliant, and functioning optimally.

**Job responsibilities include**:

- **NIST 800-171 Controls Management**:Manage and refine technical controls in line with NIST 800-171 requirements to ensure compliance.
- **Multifactor Authentication (MFA)**: Manage MFA solutions to enhance security for user accounts and access.
- **Endpoint Management**: Manage and secure endpoints across our Windows-based network, including troubleshooting, patch management, and system optimization.
- **Security Monitoring**: Monitor network and system activities to detect and respond to potential security threats.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, changes, and compliance status. Provide regular reports on security and compliance posture.
- **User Support**: Provide technical support and training to end users regarding security best practices and system use.

**Valued Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT roles with a focus on security and compliance, specifically with NIST 800-171 controls.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of NIST 800-171 requirements, Windows operating systems, and common security practices.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address complex technical issues.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
