Cabinetmaker/joiner

**Benson Cabinetry & Millwork** is currently looking for an experienced **CabinetMaker/Joiner **to join our custom bench.

We are looking for folks who have 3rd year or above, and are in good standing for Red Seal if they so choose.

The joiner will work as part of a custom team to prepare unique cabinetry and millwork for displays and other general joinery/cabinetry related tasks.

These are extra positions so start date is flexible. Wages at 3rd year or equivalent start at $28/hour and progress from there.

**Essential qualifications for this position include**:

- Legally permitted to work in Canada
- Joinery ticket, cabinetmaker ticket, progression toward apprenticeship
- Combination of 15 years cabinetmaking & joinery
- Some secondary school education is usually required, post-secondary considered an asset
- Ability to read and write fluently in English including the reading of shop drawings and blueprints
- Has experience with physical work, including moving, lifting, standing
- The Red Seal endorsement considered an asset
- Experience in cabinetry manufacturing, and warehousing is preferred

**Notes & General Duties**

When not on the custom bench, additional duties may include maintenance (recycling, sweeping), assisting the finishing line, assisting both sawyers and assisting the supervisor(s) may be required.
