SkyBox Labs is looking for a talented Technical Artist - Rigger to join our team to work on an exciting, unannounced co-development partnership. This coveted AAA action RPG is a fan favourite around the world

In this role, you will collaborate with a passionate team of creators to build and maintain efficient 3D and animation content and pipelines. You will become deeply knowledgeable about the toolset and will act as a bridge between animators and programmers to ensure seamless content integration.

By joining this project, your creative input and skills will be highly valued and instrumental in the development of the game. **A snapshot of your role**:

- Collaborate closely with our Animation, Design and Engineering teams to build and improve pipelines
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the engine and associated tools
- Use proprietary rigging system and technology
- Create technical content for a variety of assets (for example skeletons, skin weighting, cloth, rigs)
- Build facial and body rigging systems
- Provide support for Animators, Artists and Designers to bring our assets to life
- Develop and support the Maya Python tools by contributing to the codebase

**Sound like you? This is what we're looking for**:

- At least 5 years of professional experience working with real-time game engines, including expertise in Rigging with Autodesk Maya or similar software
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, C++ or C#
- Strong communication and self management skills
- A collaborative mindset and a keen eye for detail
- Enthusiasm for creating iconic gaming experiences
- Comfortable with fast paced development
- Passion for supporting and enabling others

Nice-to-haves:

- Professional experience as an artist or animator in games
- 3D Modeling experience
- Motion Capture experience
- Knowledge of anatomy and facial rigging approaches
- User interface design
