We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as our Stores Assistant.

Reporting to the Stores & Shipping Manager, you will assist with purchases from our vendors throughout North America.

**What You Will Do**

1. Purchasing of materials and subcontracts from qualified vendors and subcontractors.

2. Source, procure, and allocate certified components necessary for orders. Identify suitable vendors, obtain competitive quotes, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

3. Contact vendors for missing paperwork and proof of deliveries

4. Negotiating scope and price with vendors and subcontractors.

5. Participate in physical inventory count when required

6. Keep the work area clean and tidy

7. Comply with regulations and procedures to align with quality service standards

8. Assist in other areas of the warehouse and additional duties as required by management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English (ability to speak French a strong asset)
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- 1 year experience in purchasing is preferred;
- Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- A high degree of business professionalism, including the ability to effectively liaise and communicate with multiple stakeholders;
- Demonstrates written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent organization and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently; and
- Ability to adapt to and learn new software
