**Title: Repair/Test Technician**
**Reports To: Shop Manager**
**Summary of responsibilities**:
Responsible for Component Tear down evaluations, minor repairs, reassembly and testing for serviceability and airworthiness.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Performs maintenance and/or alterations on aircraft parts in accordance with Component Maintenance Manuals, Technical Orders, or the equivalent
- Assures that prior to use, tooling or test equipment requiring calibration is not out of date and is in serviceable condition.
- Perform and plan repair work following work instructions with minimum supervision.
- Makes entries in the work order system which tracks work accomplished.
- Identifies all parts needed for repair or overhaul of components.
- When authorized, performs in-process and post servicing inspections.
- Responsible for accurate time management on customer work orders.
- Assures all part uses are compliant with applicable standards.
- Follow/adhere to all shop health and safety guidelines.
- Complete all training assigned by the shop and the company.
- Responsible for integrity of all data pertinent to work performed on components.
- Participate on Team activities regarding shop cleanliness and FOD control.
- Responsible for fostering good and inclusive work environment as per MHD Rockland policies.
- Responsible for proper use of all company property, equipment and tooling.
**Relationships**:
Reports to MRO Production Manager and/or his designated Shop Manager. Coordinates efforts with Sales and Quality Assurance As required to support our customer base in accordance with our established customer service standards.
Interact with other technical personnel as required to improve repair methods and skills in support of our customers.
**Prerequisites**:
- Ability to use basic measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers, multi-meters, dial gauges, and micrometers.
- Possess strong Component Maintenance Manual and Drawing interpretations skills.
- Prior Military or Civilian in maintenance on; e.g. Actuators, Servo Valves, Electrical Parts, Electronic/Avionics, Landing Gear, Hydraulics, Mechanical is desired.
- Minimum of three years previous experience in the Aerospace industry on any level (component level preferred).
- Completed a basic Mechanical or Hydraulics course, certificate required.
- Open to work shifts if required to support business needs.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
