Overview of the Role

The Analyst, Finance, will be responsible for the preparation and processing of accounting information and will act as support for the accounting team, including the full accounting cycle for fixed assets, sales tax processing and reporting, currency conversion and all other related tasks.

Salary range from $76,265 to $100,100

How you will make contributions that matter:

- Prepare journal entries and ongoing analysis of the fixed asset cycle;
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for transaction control;
- Ensure that project accounting costs are capitalized in the appropriate categories, and monitor project closure;
- Prepare amortization variance analysis;
- Monthly preparation of sales tax returns;
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly G/L analysis (balance sheet and results for several companies);
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for management;
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting;
- Act as contact person for other departments (Engineering, Marketing, IT, Payables, Corpo, International division) regarding accounting activities;
- Assist in the preparation of the Administration Department's annual budget;
- Perform all other related tasks

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

- University degree in accounting. CPA designation or equivalent training;
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar position;
- Good command of Excel and Powerpoint;
- Knowledge of AS/400 (asset);
- High level of accuracy, organization, analysis and autonomy;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to manage several projects at once.
