The BC Vehicle Processing Centre Ltd. (BCVPC) was founded in 2018. We are located at the Nanaimo Assembly Wharf in Nanaimo, BC. The facility provides bespoke vehicle processing, preparation, storage and delivery of vehicles to dealerships throughout
Canada.
- THE POSITION_

BCVPC is seeking a full-time permanent Yard Attendant to join our team. This position reports to the Assistant Manager, Logistics and Administration and is responsible for the safe handling of vehicles, ensuring effective completion of manufacturer requirements, strategic organization of the yard, and ensuring seamless coordination of vehicles in all aspects of the vehicle processing.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES_
- Processing vehicles as per manufacturer requirements
- Washing vehicles as needed
- Recording any damage/warranty issues
- Organize the yard as per vessel schedule and space requirements
- Coordinate with other staff members and prioritize accordingly
- Continual Yard/Site Maintenance
- Complete and assist with other tasks as required or assigned
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE_
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including working outdoors and staying on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work without supervision
- Track record of excellent attendance
- Great work ethics and attitude
- Valid Drivers License, with clean drivers abstract
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission

The BCVPC offers a competitive benefit package which includes a pension. The Yard
Attendants will be paid an hourly rate of $20.77. All benefits and compensation will be in accordance with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers,
Lodge 456 Collective Agreement.
