**Other Information**:1.0 Music/Band teacher - 0.35 of assignment for Ecole Ste. Anne Immersion and 0.65 for Ste.
Anne Elementary School. Classroom is at one location.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teaches skills in music to understand/appreciate, harmony, and explorations in music to elementary pupils
- Plans and executes a balanced music program and organizes class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and

instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time
- Provides individual and small group instruction to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each pupil
- Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate preferred; however, the Division may also consider applicants without

this credential providing they have a Bachelor of Music degree or similar equivalent
- Ability to communicate in English and French would be considered an asset
- Orff Training would be considered an asset
- Previous experience teaching Early & Middle Years Music and Band
- Must have excellent organizational and classroom management skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Early & Middle Years students and parents
- Previous experience working in an environment with EAL students and students with Special Needs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

**As a condition of employment, all new hires must complete a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable
sector search, and child abuse registry check as part of the hiring process.

Salary & benefits for this position will be administered in accordance with the SRSD/SRTA collective bargaining
agreement (CBA).
