We are committed to providing our Co-ops/Interns with a student experience that provides a supportive and engaging learning environment while developing skills and business acumen. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.

Based in Vancouver or Toronto, the Co-op/Intern, Financial Planning & Analysis will report to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and support the great of the team in finding solutions and delivering results. This role requires the co-op/intern to have strong analytics, a keen desire to learn and the ability to think ‘outside of the box’.

**What You Will Experience**:

- Assist with management reporting and analysis, driving key insights, recommendations and proposed next steps
- Assist with business re-forecasts across various area of the P&L
- Develop and update presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Create/Manage financial models used to calculate current and projected performance under various scenarios
- Maintain and build a comprehensive benchmarking library
- Prepare ad hoc analysis tied to key business needs and executive management requests
- Other duties as required

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Currently enrolled in an academic program preferably in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting or Finance with good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFS) and operational finance
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Good working knowledge of using technology in a finance environment, proficient with accounting/finance systems, ERP, analytical and BI tools. Highly beneficial to have prior experience with systems such as Yardi, IBM cognos.
- Previous experience working within a real estate company (asset management or development). Good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFRS) and operational finance.
