- Kent. We are a busy and growing practice in a well-equipped facility that includes up to date laboratory and surgical equipment, ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and 3 exam rooms.

We are seeking a caring, compassionate and competent VA to add to our team that loves animals and can help strengthen the human-animal veterinary bond through exceptional care.
Our Assistants play a vital role in our clinic and are mainly responsible for:

- Supporting the DVMs by starting and help run appointments, assisting during the appointment and finishing up the appointment until it’s time to escort your patient and client to the door.
- Assisting the Reception team by answer phones or billing out clients.
- Assist within the hospital by helping restrain patients, maintaining hospital cleanliness, run some lab work, assist with diagnostics,, assist our Technicians to keep a smooth flow running, and help assist with patient care.

This role allows our vet assistants to level up their skills, providing them with a unique opportunity to be more involved with each patient’s care
- At least 1 year of Veterinary Clinical experience
- Experience with AviMark is not preferred but is an asset
- Customer service experience (preferred)
- Have the ability to lift 50lbs
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player attitude

Our Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm and closed on Sundays. The availability to fit into a rotating Saturday shift is required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatham-Kent, ON N7M 3G2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
