Job Position: Finish Carpenter
FULL TIME/PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT
$20 - $30/hour, 40 hours per week
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures
- Position performs routine physical labor
- Moving materials, tools, and/or equipment
- Cleaning, equipment, vehicle, machinery, and work area
- Operating various types of tools, such as, pneumatic, electric, and hand
May be required to perform additional duties deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Finish carpentry/ cabinet maker, construction, and remodeling projects.
- The ability to follow plans and construct cabinetry as to customer specifications is required. - build wooden structures:
- Lay out bulk heads, including engine bed and fuel tank platforms.
- Lay down the structure for desk, construct the wheelhouse framework.
- Install doors and cabinet doors.
- Install mouldings in the interior.
- Maintain a safe work environment.

**Requirements**:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Previous shipyard/marine experience is preferred
- Completion of Carpenter trade course preferred.
- Willing to work overtime & weekends as needed to complete projects or meet deadlines
- Applicant must provide Safety glasses/goggles, Steel-toed safety boots
- Valid driver’s license, own transportation, etc.
- High School English OR Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs) 5
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
