**Position Summary**

**Duties**

Working under the direction of the Senior Clinical Research Manager and PIs, the **Financial Analyst II**, will conduct key tasks including:

- General ledger and account reconciliation
- Generating/receiving invoices to/from sponsors and collaborators
- Monitoring interdepartmental cost recoveries
- Managing internal and external funding MOUs
- Assisting with budget creation of investigator initiated clinical trials, grants and donor funded initiatives
- Program-level financial planning
- Coordinating the preparation and analysis schedules, statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Other tasks as assigned and adhoc requests, which may include, but are not limited to, developing accounting system for clinical trials, contributing to business cases for program expansion/consolidation etc., or participating on special committees

**Qualifications**
- University degree in Business Administration or equivalent program, required
- Working towards completion of a professional accounting program (e.g., CPA), or relevant combination of education and experience
- 3 years relevant experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, and or research funding an asset
- Expert knowledge of Excel; strong knowledge of MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Experience with financial modeling, financial and cost accounting and with analyzing and interpreting large quantities of financial and statistical data; systems thinker
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
