**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent part-time Recreation Allocations Clerk with the Recreation Services team based in Electoral Area A (Cedar, South Wellington, Yellow Point, Cassidy).

The Recreation Allocations Clerk contributes to the effective operation of the Recreation Department for the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), through the efficient and accurate handling of office and clerical duties and through the effective delivery of information to the public. Primary duties include bookings and scheduling RDN Recreation and Parks satellite facilities, processing of accounts payable and receivable, and various other office administrative functions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education in office procedures with clerical and computer training. Three (3) to five (5) years prior job-related experience. Strong communication and customer service skills and ability to work pleasantly and effectively with the public and staff. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

**POSITION DETAILS**
This is a permanent part-time (20 hours per week) Union position. The (2024) rate of pay is $33.78 to $35.56 per hour. The position offers an attractive benefits package as provided within the collective agreement between the Regional District of Nanaimo and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 401.
