Dog Groomer

Matrix is hiring friendly dog groomers in Calgary, AB to perform all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that the dogs are neat, clean, and look their best. The dog groomer’s responsibilities include bathing dogs of various sizes and temperaments, trimming, clipping, or shaving hair/fur, and removing matted hair. The salary is
**4K-6K per month**, depending on the speed and quality of service performed.

**Shift Details**:

- 8-hour shifts.
- 10:30 am-6:30 pm.
- Both weekday and weekend shifts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Detangling and dematting hair as needed.
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying the dogs.
- Dog grooming includes trimming their nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
- Grooming and styling dogs as directed by their owners or in accordance with established grooming styles.
- Detecting and notifying owners of health concerns in dogs, such as ear infections, skin diseases, or teeth decay.
- Assuring the safety of all dogs during the grooming procedure.
- Regularly clean workspaces.
- Advising dog owners on appropriate products.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a driver's license.
- Previous grooming experience.
- Experience in Customer Service.
- Experience working with animals.
- Customer loyalty acumen.

**Qualifications**:

- Sound understanding of animal behavior.
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to treat all dogs with compassion.
- The ability to lift heavy dogs and equipment if necessary.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
