**Reports To**:Sanitation Supervisor / Sanitation Team Lead

**Days/Hours**:Days (_Please note there is a _**_5:00am_**_ start time for day shifts_)/ Evenings / Weekends

**Compensation**:Hourly

**Location**:Leamington, ON

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor or Team Lead, the Sanitation Associate will be required to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks through the greenhouse and office areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to adhere to and maintain and promote a positive company culture.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Gather and empty trash cans.
- Service, clean and supply all washrooms.
- Responsible for facility cleaning as per GPP requirements (Good Production Practices).
- Follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Notify supervisor or designate regarding the need for major repairs on the building.
- Perform inventory checks on all cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a daily cleaning log and schedule as directed.
- Cleaning of processing and harvest equipment and machines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate equipment such as a pressure washer, floor scrubber, forklift and scissor lift.
- Other duties that the Company may assign from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a janitorial/sanitation role is an asset.
- Previous experience working within a greenhouse setting is preferred.
- Understanding of GPP’s.
- Able to perform tedious/repetitive tasks with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous forklift or scissor lift experience an asset.
- Safety boots required.
- Reliable transportation is required. There is no public transit available.

**Work Environment**:

- Wet areas.
- Greenhouse conditions.
- Cold weather conditions.
