The Manager of Developmental Services is a management position reporting to the Program Director for the management of the Community Integration and Advocacy Team. The Manager of Developmental Services is accountable for the administration of the Developmental Services Program within the approved budget and monitoring of program activities. We are seeking a leader who can inspire, support and nurture a remarkable team.

Major responsibilities include the oversight of case management and advocacy regarding clients with developmental disabilities. This position manages Family Support services to children as well as a team of Adult Protective Service Workers serving adults with developmental disabilities referred by Developmental Services Ontario. The manager monitors employee performance related to productivity and ensures that clinical recording and Individual Support Plans are complete and up to date. The manager also ensures that the services conform with legislation and standards of the Quality Assurance Measures. The manager will monitor the budget for this program, perform human resource functions and assist in the development and monitoring of policy, advising the Executive Director of serious occurrences.

**Essential Qualifications**
- BA in applied social sciences or BSW.
- A minimum of three years of leadership experience within human service organizations.
- A minimum of five to seven years of direct service ideally with people with developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated competence in staff supervision.
- Proficiency in relevant legislation including the Landlord Tenant Act, Substitute Decisions Act, Employment Standards Act, Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities Act, Education Act, and the Child and Family Services Act.
- Awareness of MCCSS Policy related to Journey to Belonging
- Awareness of MCCSS APSW guidelines
- Oral proficiency in French/English preferred.
- Valid driver's license and use of an automobile.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict and complaint resolution.
- Skills in interpretation of policies and procedure and the collective agreement.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.

This position includes evening work one day a week.
