Sales Associate:
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting, and general housekeeping.
- Work at the cashier desk processing cash, debit and credit transactions
- Help unload incoming trucks
- Ensure customers are greeted upon entering the store
- Assist customers with carrying out of large or heavy items
- Determine customer's needs by asking open-ended questions
- Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriate
- Assist customers in locating and comparing merchandise
- Assist customers with finding all items needed to complete their project
- Keep stock in storage area neat, clean, and orderly
- Participate in regular cycle counting, and assist in taking annual inventory counts
- Attend store meetings, training sessions, etc. as required
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management

Qualifications: - Team Player - Reliable - Willing to work weekends - Retail experience an asset - Hardware knowledge an asset - Experience using social media an asset

**Job Type**: Full Time Salary: From $15.50 per hour

Day range: Monday to Sunday

Work Location: In person: Richmond Street, Chatham.

**Salary**: $15.50-$29.04 per hour

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
