YSB employs 350 caring professionals in a unionized environment in over 26 locations across Ottawa.

The Bridges - Passerelles program is a partnership between the YSB, The CHEO, OPH and The Royal and provides a "step down" support for youth transitioning from inpatient care and a "step up" support for youth at imminent risk presenting in emergency or accessing YSB crisis services and may not require hospitalization. It is an intensive and integrated short-term community-based service that provides clinical intervention and skill building for youths (13-17 years), and their caregivers, with complex mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, self-harm/suicidal ideation, emotional dysregulation, eating disorder symptoms and psychosis.
