We help our customers achieve success in the highly competitive grocery market.
**THE ROLE**:
This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to our VP, Development & Quality Assurance.
**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
As **QA Manager**, you will be a member of the Invafresh leadership team with hands-on experience and responsibility for managing our internal and offshore Quality Assurance team, manual and automation.
You bring an innovative mind, a proven track record of delivering new software products, rigorous analytical and quantitative skills, and a passion for creating market-leading software solutions. You have a practical commercial focus to innovation and developing valuable technologies.
You will provide technical leadership and guidance and help facilitate the team to build out new capabilities and/or systems that drive efficiency of execution while solving for scale, resilience, and reliability at the same time. You would coach and grow technical leaders and help them be successful individual contributors or managers at Invafresh. You would partner with other technical leaders, drive thought leadership, and help accomplish initiatives outside the immediate scope of responsibility through influence and/or guidance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead staff to their optimum performance levels and career development, including evaluating performance, delivering performance reviews, conducting one-on-one and department meetings, and supporting professional performance objectives.
- Responsible for resolving escalations received and escalating issues impacting the QA department to the appropriate department.
- Responsible for defining & directing QA strategy, approach, and execution in development projects to meet and exceed department and corporate quality.
- Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.
- Assures quality products and processes by establishing, documenting & enforcing quality standards, testing materials and products.
- Engage with business leaders to define strategic imperatives and execute roadmaps that create valuable and economically viable customer products and services, while ensuring modern agile best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure end-user business use cases are fully understood, shared & enforced with the QA team.
- Monitor QA progress and their velocity on all sprints and help the QA team resolve any issues impacting their ability to complete sprint commitments.
- Ensure QA team is adequately prepared for all sprint planning sessions and advocate for QA in all sprint planning sessions.
- Work with QA team leads during sprints to ensure all issues are effectively story-pointed, assessed, tested, and prioritized in alignment with sprint completion goals & facilitate end-of-sprint demo sessions to Product.
- Work with SCRUM Master to ensure the sprint process is working effectively for the QA team and generate QA related KPI dashboard for distribution to executives.
- Review QA testing output (test cases, Jira issue details, etc.) & ensure output is consistent with expectations.
- Ensure QA team has the necessary modern tools and training to perform their daily tasks of bug tracking, manual and automated test case generation, etc.
- Continuously monitor the efficiency of the QA team, identify and implement new ideas for continuous improvement.
- Work with DevOps leads to ensure QA manual and automated testing is integrated within the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment cloud pipeline.
- Work on multiple projects in parallel where the projects will have varying scope and timelines.
- Promote knowledge sharing across product-development, customer success and support teams.
- Co-ordinate employee training to promote employee skills development.
- Proven success in recruiting, creating, and motivating a strong performing technical team.
