- The Manager, PAFA (Data Analytics and Quality Improvement) in the Ontario West Region, is responsible for establishing, leading, and driving system improvements through data analytics, planning, collaboration and utilizing the principles of performance evaluation and quality improvement. The Manager will lead a team of Data Analysts, BI Specialists and Performance Evaluation Advisors in the day to day work with both internal and external stakeholders to provide the necessary tools for strategic planning and decision making. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to, colleagues within the West Region and beyond, Ministry of Health, the Health Service Providers across various Hospital, Long Term Care and Community sectors. The Manager will lead initiatives and projects directed at system level improvements and performance measurement, and aimed at achieving the goals, objectives, deliverables, and KPIs set forth by OH-West/Ministry. The Manager will also support stakeholder engagement activities and issues management. The Manger will report to the Director, PAFA

Here is what you will be doing:
- Oversee the preparation of data reports and presentations to support the Health System Recovery and Transformation efforts-
- Manage and coach staff to deliver results in a timely and effective manner-
- Timely management of reporting deliverables, both internally and externally with appropriate escalations to the Director as required.-
- Provide advice and guidance to HSPs as it pertains to performance measurement and improvement.-
- Provide accurate and timely advice to Director in identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness across the system-
- Prepare performance dashboards in collaboration with the team, scorecards and presentation material summarizing HSP level or system performance across various portfolios.-
- Develop frameworks for performance and escalation process, project evaluation and monitoring, including the infrastructure to track key indicators, funding allocation at the regional level, ensure alignment with corporate approaches-
- Manage system risks in a timely manner and leads system improvements through planning and collaboration-
- Identify HSPs performance and associated risks and help inform mitigation strategy in collaboration with the Planning and Funding Teams.-
- Develop and implement various performance measurement and evaluation initiatives-
- Work in an independent manner to perform activities in area of responsibility - assess and resolves major issues and challenges and provides timely updates to Director-
- Translate complex information using analytical techniques and complex data collection to inform strategic priorities and support solution recommendations and provides summary reports-
- Manage and monitor Ministry and OH requests and ensure deadlines are met-
- Prepare Briefing Notes, and HSP performance Analysis reports with interpretation of key outcomes relating to HSP Programs and Ministry initiatives-
- Provide direction and support to the team members for the preparation and completion of data analysis, dashboards, presentations, performance reports, etc.-
- Oversee project management and implementations and work with stakeholders-
- Analyze and interpret OH and government policies and guidelines to support key strategic and operational initiatives involving HSPs in Ontario Health-
- Maintains strong working relationships with HSPs and Ministry of Health in support of proactive/effective performance measurement and evaluation and to support the implementation of the strategic program/process improvement initiatives.-
- Implement performance initiatives in collaboration with the Director by leveraging innovative practices to further improve processes in alignment with the performance management strategy and framework-
- Works with and collaborates with stakeholders to identify meaningful performance metrics and establish appropriate targets-
- Leads internal planning groups and working group as appropriate and as requested-
- Participate in various committees, Ministry and HSP performance meetings on behalf of the Region-
- Assists Director in the development of key presentation and engagement materials for HSPs meetings and management meetings-
- Works with other stakeholders within the sector to develop and/ or use data reporting tools to query and transform raw data into useful information-
- Work collaboratively with Director to develop and manage critical stakeholder relationships and consultations and resolve a range of highly sensitive service provider relationship management issues-
- Manages staff performance and provide day-to-day guidance and directions-
