**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Manager, Regional Cancer Program-Prevention & Cancer Screening, the Integrated Cancer Screening (ICS) Specialist
- Data and Performance works with a multidisciplinary team to successfully develop and implement cancer prevention & screening initiatives across the Central East Regional Cancer Program (CE RCP). The ICS Specialist works in close partnership with members of the CE RCP and multiple community stakeholders to achieve the goals of Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario (OH-CCO) and the CE RCP, including public and provider awareness of breast, cervical, lung, and colorectal cancer programs to increase cancer screening participation rates.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
" Support the planning, project management and delivery of regional cancer prevention and screening strategies;
" Monitor and evaluate the delivery of regional knowledge exchange activities and their impact on achieving OH-CCO's cancer screening targets;
" Provide education, orientation, training and support to screening and assessment sites related to cancer screening policies, practices, guidelines and quality assurance requirements;
" Evaluate, monitor, and analyze quality and performance data indicators;
" Monitor system capacity and identify local service delivery issues and develop strategies to address the gaps;
" Provide regular performance reports and progress updates for planned cancer prevention and screening initiatives;
" Collaborate with various stakeholders within the region, including primary care providers;
" Oversee resources materials including maintenance and distribution to stakeholders;
" Maintain our website content and backend support;
" Conduct literature reviews, gap analysis, and surveys to help develop informed interventions and initiatives;
" Data maintenance and reporting including funding allocations and monthly/quarterly scorecards;
" Evaluate projects and initiatives to determine success and sustainability;
" Develop grant proposals in response to identified funding opportunities for initiatives related to cancer screening.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
" Undergraduate degree in an education, health science, and/or community health-related discipline;
" Demonstrated experience with health promotion and primary prevention initiatives;
" Project Management experience in a healthcare setting;
" Demonstrated experience with public speaking and delivering presentations to groups of varying sizes;
" Proven professional experience in a health care setting;
" Proven understanding of the complexities of the Ontario Cancer System, and the Ontario Cancer Plan;
" Proven knowledge of the CE RCP and the relevant stakeholders involved in cancer prevention and screening;
" Ability to assess region-wide needs, analyze large data sets, formulate plans to address the needs, and the subsequent implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives;
" Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills using evidence-based best practices;
" Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
" Ability to work in diverse environments; both collaborating and motivating multiple groups and stakeholders with varying levels of education, and skill set, while also working effectively on independent projects;
" Effective organizational and time management skills;
" Effective computer skills at an intermediate level (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher, Word Press, Project Management tools, etc.);
" Must have a satisfactory performance record;

" Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area;
