Production Supervisor

Prairie Gold Produce Ltd. has an opening for a **Production Supervisor** at our Fresh Pack facility in Vauxhall, Alberta.

This is a full time position working Monday thru Friday with occational Saturdays.

The position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for contributing the overall success of Prairie Gold Produce Ltd. by directing the production team of approx. 20+/- employees, to work together efficiently to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to inventory, line efficiencies, quality, waste, order fill, safety & productivity.

Duties include:

- Lead production employees to achieve, maintain & improve performance standards with regards to Quality, Line Utilization, GMP, HACCP, Health & Safety.
- Plant operation and leadership of shift crew; physically on the floor leading by example.
- Compile and monitor site operations metrics, production data and KPI’s.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving as directed and have the ability to provide practical solutions in the workplace.
- Coverage to different roles to ensure business continuity.
- Coordinate Daily production meetings and Safety Committee Meetings
- Monitor raw products, packing material inventory, and shipping product inventory.
- Ensure that all sales orders are packed for the day.
- Management of specific projects as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Organization, scheduling, and training of staff.
- All machinery, floor workplaces, and operating areas are free of clutter, debris, or other hazards.
- Maintenance of a “team” relationship between production floor and other departments
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Desired Qualifications & Competencies:

- 3+ years of work experience in a Supervisory role.
- Strong people, organizational & time management skills.
- Able to think quickly & work in a fast-paced environment under mínimal Supervision.
- Excellent communication, leadership & supervisory skills.
- Preference given to those with a background in or experience with Potatoes and a focus on quality.
