Shipyard Assistant

West Bay Shipyards is a family-owned business located in Delta, BC. Our company was founded in 1967 and we are focused on servicing and refitting yachts from 50 to 110 feet. Responsibilities: Helping the fiberglass, fairing, and painting departments wherever necessary.
- Spraying gelcoat
- Prepping materials
- Laying up materials
- Grinding parts
- Fairing, and small painting jobs.
- Cleaning boats inside and out before the delivery to customer.
- General cleaning of shops.
- Assisting all other shipyard departments as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate tools and equipment used in painting process
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
