Bay Meats Butcher Shop is looking for an energetic and dedicated person to join our team as a Meat Processor. This is a full-time position with the occasional overtime shift depending on production needs. Experience is not necessary as we will provide training. We are a small company with a young team, and we are looking for somebody who is excited to join our group.

Bay Meats Butcher Shop is a provincially-licensed meat processing plant in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and we take great pride in creating delicious value-added meat products. We follow all Ontario regulations, have exacting HACCP programs in place and have a GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) certification that allows us to sell to national grocery store chains. Obtaining a Safe Food Handlers certificate is mandatory.

Job duties include: preparing proteins for further processing, operating various processing equipment (grinders, sausage stuffer), operating electronic smokehouse, cleaning equipment, shipping and receiving, record keeping, inventory management. You must be able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods of time, work well within tight deadlines, work well individually and within a team.

We are certainly open to individuals who are new to Canada. A good command of the English language is necessary but we are willing to help the right applicant with their skills.
